I get a error message saying internet explorer caused an error . try restarting your computer to solve the problem . does anyone know what is causeing this , or how to fix the problem ?

If you dont log in enough in a certain amount of days
(within 10 or 30 I think) your account is deactivated...


Is there anyway to retrieve old emails and stuff?????

i have my window xp disk disk that came with my laptop....i want to start fresh...if i put that in will it clear my hard disks and all my files and everything??? thankx

Why do I keep having to unplug the power from my cable modem? If Im surfing the web using my browser its fine but if I walk away and then come back I have to unplug the modem and plud it back in again for the net to work. Anyone know why this is and what I can do to fix it?

Also Ive tried different cable modems and the same thing happens.

when i installed a wireless card in my computer it booted it up without me switching the computer on, also when i shut my computer down it shuts windows down but then reboots itself.
can anybody help me as the only way i can shut my computer down now is to switch it off at the back and this will damage my computer in time.

I have a dinosaur PC that finally went the way of the 8 track. It contains my entire music library, not to mention volumes of pictures from my 'wonder years'. What's the quickest way possible to move them from old to new? Also, will going from win95 to win2000 make a difference?

Right, basically I log into my pc and on the load screen it shows "The computer was not shut down properly" want to go into safe mode or continue normally.Clicking on all these options take me to the bit where the bar scrolls across but then it goes blue and shuts down. I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this problem.

ok...my mother in law has a virus on her computer and i know how to get rid of it...but in order to do that i have to go to ctrl+alt+delete ....but when I does ctrl+alt+delete it says "task manage has be denied access by the administrator"...but what i dont get is...she is the admin. !! so how do i change it so i can get into ctrl+alt+delete...or task manager whatever it's called!!!!

Are all these processes needed to run the computer or are some of them just viruses which slow my PC down. How can I find out which ones are definitly needed to run my PC effectively and which ones are not needed and How can I get rid of those which are not needed. some of the names are svmp.exe, vsmon.exe, vcmon.exe, etc.

After putting all my years of information from my old computer to new one, My new Dell computer hard drive took a dump after 30 days. Dell wants to send a third party repair person to my house and put new hard drive in and take the old one. I have everything I've ever filed in a file cabinet scanned to my hard drive. Everything. I told them I want to keep the bad hard drive to destroy myself and they said I can't keep it. What should I do. Even wiping the drive people can recover info. Any suggestions? Thanks!

whenever i minimize any window, the "title" of the window is not shown in the taskbar. but when I use the keyboard shortcut (alt-tab), the window just opens back up again. but what i want is for the "name" or "title" of the minimized windows to be seen in the taskbar. please help me..:D thank you!! When someone posts something in response to your entry on a certain site, is the IP address they have ALWAYS THE SAME from their computer? Like, is their shown IP address their permanent one for their computer, or does it change?

I have Anti-Virus SBC Yahoo! Online Protection...
I had a pop-up (not like the AD kind!) that showed me i have 3 infected items in my computer. one is deleted and other two status's say Infected. it also says " you must reboot not to permanently clean infected items.
do i really have to reboot? and is rebooting just restarting the computer or deleting then restarting the WHOLE entire computer and losing all my files?

Hello everybody,

It's been a while since that i can't Access my Hotmail account!!
I have an ADSL internet service, speed: 256Kbps. I use IE 7.0 wiz Windows XP pro SP2.
also i can't open my Hotmail account wiz Microsoft Outlook 2003 or Outlook Express.
Everytime I try to open hotmail i receive a msg from the server telling me,

"The requested URL could not be retrieved,
Error message: Unable to determine IP address from host name for webmail.msn.com,
The dnsserver returned: Name Error: The domain name does not exist."

So if anybody have any ideas please step-up and (Help Me!!)

I've back up my stuff today on my external disk drive. But I think I accidentally turned it off before the icon was closed. Now when I went back to it, it said that my contents may be lost or damaged, and the volume can't be found. Is there any way to fix it? Please help.
