i have my window xp disk disk that came with my laptop....i want to start fresh...if i put that in will it clear my hard disks and all my files and everything??? thankx

Only useing F12 before start up will do that.Shut off computer.Turn back on and before it gets started,hold down ctrl and alt at the same time and start clicking F12.This will take you to a reboot menu.Select down to item 4 on the list.Follow directions.This will clear your computer like the day you bought it,everything you put in will have to be put back in.All your accounts you have will still be accessable.Good luck.Keep trying because it may take a couple of time on start to get the menu to appear.

THe disk might have the feature to repair. this wouldnt.

Only a clean install would.

Which it will incliude.....well unless u bought from craputer company 2006

keep your information docs etc, then use the fix disc. honestly, ask a pc save to attempt this for you. Defragging your hardcontinual will make it somewhat quicker alongside with lots of different assistance, yet i'm not likely into that for loose.

A regular WInXP CD? No, unless you force it to with a total reformat of the HD.

A "restore CD" from your laptop maker? Yes.
