my new wireless card will not let my computer shut down?

when i installed a wireless card in my computer it booted it up without me switching the computer on, also when i shut my computer down it shuts windows down but then reboots itself.
can anybody help me as the only way i can shut my computer down now is to switch it off at the back and this will damage my computer in time.

uninstall it then reinstall it?

your bios is set to wake on lan go into your bios and disable the wake on lan feature in advanced settings
