External disk drive: volume can't be found?

I've back up my stuff today on my external disk drive. But I think I accidentally turned it off before the icon was closed. Now when I went back to it, it said that my contents may be lost or damaged, and the volume can't be found. Is there any way to fix it? Please help.

Try rebacking everything up again. This time DO NOT touch the power buttons or anything else just let it finish the job at hand...Thanks
