Okay, here's the deal.In my house we have 3 computer.2 are laptops, and 1 is a regular computer(which happens to be mine). My dad says that the laptops are going to have wireless high-speed internet,so mine has to have all the wires and etc.My dad also told me that since my computer is the "home"system thingy that I can NEVER turn off my computer,or the internet will turn off until I turn my computer back on ,and sometimes after i'm in bed my mom is still on the computer. Here's the real problem:When I turn my computer on this little green light comes on,and since i can NEVER turn my computer off the green light is always gonna be flashing in my face. But if I put my computer on stand-by will the internet cut-off also until I take it off stand-by?

My computer works fine until I want to turn it off.
I click Start, Turn off computer, then the little window appears and I click the red button in the middle to turn of my comp but no matter how many times I press it, the computer will not turn off.
I have had to turn it off using the button on my tower. What has caused this to happen and how can I get my computer back to normal?

It's come to the time where I need to do a clean install of my system. When I originally bought it, it came with one hard drive. Since then, I have purchased a second drive and installed it as a slave drive, for extra storage.

The drive is a Maxtor6L250R0 (250 gig drive). It came with MaxBlast 4 (if that means anything...)

The original drive is my C: drive and the new drive is my E: drive.
My operating system is windows xp media centre edition 2002 with service pack 2.

When I reinstall windows on my C: drive, will the data on my E: drive remain or do I need to back it up?

Also, will windows Xp: recognize the E: drive after the reinstall?

Thanks in advance,
dan

Am I the only one that goes back and checks old questions that I ask to see if anyone has added a comment? Or do others do this also? Just curious.

I am using heading 1 format in a word document, and I have put a picture into the file, but when I do this the number of the heading goes onto the page with the picture, and the heading which relates to this number is on the page after where it is supposed to be.

How do I stop this?

My Internet just quit working yesterday. I didn't know why, so I deleted the IM stuff off my computer and I deleted my Kodak Easyshare software. Then today the tech support guy told me to do a system restore, so I did for 2 days ago. Now when I logon it's like it's trying to find some of the files from the Easyshare, but there aren't any there. These boxes keep coming up saying "can't find this file." The main reason I deleted the software is bc it says the wrong camera name. It's a C530 but my computer says C315. So how do I get rid of these boxes?

I am playing videos on my computer, and more specifically through itunes, however, when I put these to full screen, they stutter and go slowly and out of sync. They run fine when they are very small size. Does anyone know why this is and what I can do to play them propertly on full screen...Thanks for your help :)
