i dont have an mp3 player YET.. my question is... when one buys an mp3 does it come with the necessary items so that one can get songs off of computer..?? or do ya have to buy that stuff separately?

YY It will have a USB cable. That is how you will transfer songs to your player.

MP3 players come with the proper connection so you can sync your music to the player. You will need a USB connection.
