Freecom Media Player 160gb 3.5?

Anybody tried the Freecom Media Player 160gb 3.5 ? Just wondered if it was handy for playing my mp3 and avi files to save buring to dvd disc and is it worth the money? Or if there is a better option?

Just wanted something to plug into first the pc to transfer files and then to the tv to view them.
Something easy to use.
