I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this problem.
Thx

You may have damaged your computer by shutting it down improperly. You must always use the Start \ Turn Off Computer, etc. routine to shut it down. If you still have the original Windows CDs, you could try repairing the system but I'm not a technician.

Good luck!

After u turn it on and before u see that screen u r talking about press F8. From the menu that comes up choose "Last Known Good Configuration" and see how it goes. If you see the blue screen of death you may need to reinstall ur windows or some of the system files.

have you gone in to safe mode?

if not - all it does is open to your desktop (as usual BUT without a lot of the stuff you normally had on it) - this gives you enough to work with to fix your problem

once you get it up - (in safe mode) - right click on the desktop background - this will open your display properties - once in there go into your Settings tab and reset your screen resolution and colour quality
once that's done - click Apply - then click OK
this will prompt you to restart your computer -
hopefully things will have been fixed - and you might want to run a virus scan once you've restarted your computer

good luck

I think you mean you tried clicking on the Safe Mode and it still wouldn't boot up. If that is what you mean then you maybe could go into BIOS and boot to the Recovery Disk which you can put into your CD Rom Drive. Only do this as last choice as you will lose all your data files when you do this and have to reload all your software programs.

press f8 when you start up a bunch of times. it will list a bunch of modes to restart in, choose safe mode, and your operating system, windows whatever. it should start in safe mode from there, if not, try and test your hard drive in another computer. that will let you know if the drive is bad.

off the top of my head it sounds like your RAM memory is dead, see if you can load the pc with some of it removed
