i have a windows XP media center 2005 gateway laptop. A few days ago on a certain account(i have 2) i tried to type in my password and it did not work. I removed the password using the other account(it did not have a password) Then went back tot he first account. It showed up when i typed letters "I" through "P" they show up as symbols or numbers. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! My 2nd account works fine. if that problem is unfixable, how to i transfer foders to my other account. ThX

I recently installed TalkTalk broadband onto my PC, which is nearly 2 years old. Since I have installed it, everything on my PC is so slow! When I want to minimise windows, it takes about 5 minutes for the PC to accept the command. I have defragmentised and run a disk clean up on the PC but this does not seem to have helped. When I start my PC up, I have to walk away and return 15 minutes later as it takes so long to let me do anything once it has been started. I am at the end of my tether. Please help!

OK anyway my freind ordered a dell computer with an AMD64 Athlon X2 It didnt work so i went down there the CPU socket was bare and it was missing 1 ram card!

How do I make one of those videos you usually see on youtube with a Mac? what do I need to download? I want to make it of a TV show and I have the seasons of it. How do I take out the clips from one of the dvds and put it into the video? I need a VERY detailed answer to give you points for it. how do I go about making it (i.e. how do I put background music, a disclaimer, dedications, etc. etc.)

in other of my computer, when i type something in the net or something, there is something wrong: when i type the word "i" the word comes out with the number "5" and when i type "m" it comes with the number "0",,,, etc.,, can u tell me whats the problem and how to fix it?

I couldn't able to play mp3 files in my system.Actually I played a complete folder of MP3 files in an winamp from then I couldn't able to play any MP3 files either in media player or winamp.The error shows cannot open an MP3 file. Please anyone give the solution to solve this?????????

I recently downloaded a video clip of limewire, but it will not work on windows media player. I have downloaded several videos of limewire and they all worked, but when I try this one, it sais codec error. This is realy annoying because it took me 3 hours to download! It has happened to different videos, I just want to know if there is a way I can fix this or not.
By the way, I have the latest windows media player.

All the computers in our house have names, aside from the linux box that is our firewall. It needs a name. Its running the linux Smoothwall distro. It sits there and blinks a little.. it has no keyboard or monitor. Its not a special machine really.. just a box.. that protects the rest of our network.

I'm sick of calling it the box thing over there, so please help me come up with a name!

Is it a virus? When I changed to my server, suddenly they announced (in text form) that the display will be changed, and there you have it, the comp looks bloated with the expanded font. HELPP!!

My security system on my computer has came up with a file error, saying that under my windows folder, in "System 32 " there is another folder called lockbr.exe that has problems, and needs to be checked. As if there is something wrong with it. When I go to the "System 32" folder, there is no folder called Lockbr.exe, or lock anything.
Does anyone know what is wrong??? I get two of the same boxes that pop up everytime I turn my computer on. If I click cancel it does nothing untill I turn my computer on again. If I click Run it does nothing.
