Get this message when I close my laptop to have it hibernate. Get an audible sound and this message. When I open the laptop again and close the message, I can re-close the laptop and it will then go into hibernation. Toshiba Satellite Laptop, upgraded to 1 Gig of RAM. 50 Gigs of free hard drive space.

It is a hp pavillion zv5000, 3.06 pentium 4 intel inside processor, 512 mb of ram, 60 gb hard drive, 15.4 inch widesceeen display, 3 usb ports, s-video, wireless internet, dvd burner/writer, cd burner/writer, dvd player, harmon kardon speakers with excellent sound, and has windows xp, its approximently 2 years old

My laptop came with SiS 760(MX) graphics card and it is really crappy. Can this graphics card be replaced, or is there some way that I can render OpenGL through the hardware instead of software rendering. I am trying to run beryl, but it is incredibly slow. Any comments would be appreciated...

Please anybody, I left my laptop plugged into my wall circuit and had the power overload because I had too many appliances running at the same time. And I went to switch back on the electricity in my room and when I came back in the laptop had been playing music , but now was sputtering static very loudly and the screen was blank (nothing on there) and I tried to turn it off, and I could not turn it off. I finally took the battery out of it and put it back in and then it booted up fine and I am typing to you now on it.
How likely is it that I did serious damage?

Okay, I got this brand spankin new laptop that should have 80 gigs. But instead, the 80 gigs are divided into 40 gigs on two seperate hard drives. This shouldn't be a problem, except ALL of the files on my computer are on one of the hard drives. It says "40.0 gigabyte capacity, 15.0 gigabytes free" while my other hard drive has nothing on it and says "40.0 gigabyte capacity, 40.0 gigabytes free". What happens when the first hard drive runs out of room? That's 40 wasted gigabytes, because the other hard drive is useless.

Basically guys, I have a dell inspiron 510m running an intel celeron M processor with a clock speek of 1.4GHZ. Is it possible to get this changed? Preferably to a dual core, but if not then a Pentium 4 with HT will be good.
