Don't buy something like this from ebay unless you can see it first and then collect it. How do you know it hasn't been a demo and been in constant use for the last 3 months. I just bought and acer aspire 3692 with 1.73 processor, 1gb ram 224mb graphics from comet with free upgrade to vista premium for £400. My other alternative was the hp one from ebuyer. One of my friends just bought that from ebuyer and its a good machine. Don't buy dell. I think the tesco one only has 256mb ram which isn't enough. Don't buy packard bell or advent either. Buy Acer or HP. They best at the bottom end of the market. £500 gets you a dual core Acer from Comet. Hpe this helps

I'm not in the UK but go to www.bizrate.com. You can save big american dollars by buying a used, factory refurbished laptop.
I got a satelite M65 for about 1,000 dollars off the ticket price. Works fine and comes with a certificate from Toshiba.

Wal-mart has a compact pre-loaded with VISTA home basic for $598 that's a great deal (I just got an E-machine desk top for the same $ and it has VISTA too but if you really need a lap top its the cheapest I've seen & I looked every where)
hope this helps
Good Luck & God Bless

Dell have always got good deals. If you just need to ensure it has wireless, then under £400 easily, and good support.

Any reputable strip club. Cheap would be in the eyes of the spender, though.

I'm not from the UK but I've hear too many bad things about PC World to even recommend stepping foot in one of their stores.
