Im looking for a new windows-based laptop?

i want to know what i should want on a windows based laptop like how much ram hard drive etc.. and i want it to be wireless so please give me some suggestions

Now mind you, this is a laptop I would buy for general use and light gaming. When looking for a laptop you should look for specs similar to this. It has a Turion 64x2 processor (AMDs answer to the Core 2 Duo processor). The Core 2 Duo processors are superior but we are trading a better processor here for a dedicated graphics card which is the primary thing I look for in a laptop. I detest integrated graphics and refuse to buy a laptop with them for even the most mundane tasks.

It's also under $1000, and you won't beat the specs of this laptop at that price. If you do, well, call me a liar.

Just follow the guidelines of that laptop. If you are looking to buy in a store, you will find it nearly impossible to get one with a dedicated graphics card.

The only thing I would consider, if you can find it is to get one with a 15.4" display and 2GB of memory (but again, we are sacrificing some things here to get that dedicated graphics card). You can always upgrade the memory at a later time.
