My laptop came with SiS 760(MX) graphics card and it is really crappy. Can this graphics card be replaced, or is there some way that I can render OpenGL through the hardware instead of software rendering. I am trying to run beryl, but it is incredibly slow. Any comments would be appreciated...

Sorry to tell you, I just looked up your graphics and its integrated, not a graphics card. Most laptops will not take a graphics card, unless you spend alot of money......For around $900 I can point you to a top of the line alienware laptop that has a graphics card.......

regrettably no longer, maximum pictures playing cards in laptops are outfitted-in, and man made onto the processor. which means that you're literally unable to commerce them. Least of all, once you in actual truth had an precise pictures card and now no longer an integrated one (perfect about a million in 15 laptops are presented with an particular pics card) it may nonetheless now no longer play the video games you wanted, on the grounds that you want a GPU. genuinely, laptops weren't made for video games. and there is now no longer a lot you are able to do about it.

most notebooks don't have replaceable video cards. especially ones with lowend video chipsets like your SiS. unfortunately, beryl is not going to run well any way you work it with that card. it's just too old/slow. the only solution is to get a newer notebook. if you want one with upgradeable video card, alienware makes a few, but they're overpriced in my opinion.
