ok well this is my problem. everytime i write something anywhere on my acer aspire 3620 it freezes. it happened to me once before and i ended up having to reformat, which really sucked big time so i don't want to do that again. I do tend to download alot of unnecessary junk on my computer so maybe that has to do with it, but im not sure. almost everything else will works perfectly, but the second i write something anywhere it just freezes. I cant access my task manager either. when i try to it freezes . I have a fair share of anti-spyware and anti-virus programs installed and when i run scans i never get any viruses or anything of that sort. so im really cant understand what my problem is. maybe i just need a new harddrive. i hope not... please if anyone has an asnwer please, please, please, please help. thanks. oh and i almost forgot... i tried to do a system restore, but that didn't work. i did it back to about a week.

i am saving up my money for a really nice laptop for college. i want it to last a long time because i plan on staying in college for a long time. any brand names good? whats the best? do you usggest PC or macs? i've never tried a mac and i dont want to spend that much money and then not like it...anybody have any answers??

i have a dell inspiron e1505 and something happend to the laptop im not sure what but the only sound i can get is a realla annoying beep when i go to control panel it says there is no audio device i dont have the disk or anything and i have used systen restore but i can only go back to a certain date and if i go as far back as the date it still wont work and when i turn on the computer and the main page comes up it says hardware id is missing idk what to do if anybody could help me i would deeply apperciate it i havent had sound on this computer for 2 months and it is driving me crazy

I was restoring my laptop to a previous date when the power lead came out and it switched off completely. Now when i try and turn it on I get a black screen with that error message saying that it is missing and that I should reinstall it. Im not sure what to do because it wont even come on properly. Please help!

My Toshiba satellite laptop is starting to come apart. The seam where the 2 sides come together at the very bottom of my screen. It's some sort of plastic and nothing looks broken, it's just separated and now the screen is holding up a little wobbly. I tried pushing it together but it won't stay. It makes a cracking noise whenever I open or close it and I'm afraid it will break soon if it's not fixed somehow.
Any suggestions?
BTW it's a year old and is one of those tablet style laptops, but I've never used that tablet option.

Okay my computer stopped respondinsg so I did the usual Ctrl + Alt + Del and then what happened was the screen became inverted so like everything's upside down. Its freaking hard to type haha. Please helppppp I have no idea what happened.

am having trouble with my memory on my computer.i have a mac and i am told i should have more memory than what i have. i have had some one look through my computer at all of my stuff and every one that i talk to agrees with me. please help my capasity is 27.82 GB and i only have 7.01 GB left and my buddie hase more stuff on his and it is the exact same (oure highschool issues laptops out to the students) and my computer teacher cant even figure out what is wrong please help. if it helps i have verson 10.4.7

It was fine yesterday.After it starts up it goes to this black page with white writing that says: launchd: can't exec /bin/sh for single user: no such file or directory. How can I fix this? I just got a new hard drive last year It shouldn't be that. I have a Mac OSX iBook G4. Please can you help me with this? Anyone know what I can do without taking it in & paying $300?? Thanks.

now I can`t switch off properly - I have to keep going through hibernation mode to switch off.(it is a laptop) Any ideas what is wrong? As I said everything else has speeded up now since I used system restore.
