It really does depend. If you need a computer for things like business and word processing, also for basic computer needs, get a Windows pc. Also if you like to customize your computer the way you like it than go with a Windows pc. You do have to worry about viruses, spyware, adware....

If you like to do things like video chat with your friends and have alot of things preset and unchangable than go with a mac.
Also a mac is good for video editing and space saving. A really nice buy. Not as much worry with viruses and the such. The thing with a mac is they are not as customizable and alot of software is not configured for Mac OS.

This is really a personal preference. Only you can decide which you like better. I'm more of a Microsoft person, as about 98% of the world's computer population is dominated by Microsoft. Not only that, but most of the programs and games that I use and play are only compatible with Microsoft. Apple has great performance when it comes to processing and managing it's memory, and I like the fact that they don't really have any viruses (as virus makers target the majority, not the minority).

I would like to site the strength of Microsoft Operating Systems & Softwares. First of all it's a defacto standard. Meaning it is widely used and accepted globally (this is a fact). Next, a great many number of available software runs on Microsoft. For me the product has everything I need to do my daily office work. There are several functionality which is present in Microsoft and crucial for me but absent in you-know-where. As for the Apple system, it's a good system too but I'd rather say nothing against it because I might get flak from its militant users. It also holds true if whatever system is comfortable for you. Good luck and hope I helped a little!

It's basically the user's preference with this question. There are many different things to consider when choosing between these 2. Personally, i chose Microsoft because there is a lot more support for PC's than Macs and you can get replacement parts a lot easier without hunting for them as with Apple. But, I hear that Apple has better customer service which means your support call hopefully won't go to India. Also to consider is that it's been proven that it's less common for Macs to get viruses. In conclusion, it's really your call.

Good Luck

Macs rule the graphics & movie making world. PC's have better games. It depends on what you'll do with your computer.

Neither.

Ubuntu is free, & runs from cd!

You only install it if you like it.

Ok, if you have to decide between XP or MAC bloatware,
XP has much more software. So it's easier to use, i mean, find software for. Mac is better, but there is less to choose from.
