My Toshiba satellite laptop is starting to come apart. The seam where the 2 sides come together at the very bottom of my screen. It's some sort of plastic and nothing looks broken, it's just separated and now the screen is holding up a little wobbly. I tried pushing it together but it won't stay. It makes a cracking noise whenever I open or close it and I'm afraid it will break soon if it's not fixed somehow.
Any suggestions?
BTW it's a year old and is one of those tablet style laptops, but I've never used that tablet option.
Thanks for any info

Wow, you both sound so knowledgeable! Thank you so much. I choose both answers as the best but since I can't, I'll put it to voting. Again, thanks for the help

I would suggest bringing it in to a repair shop. It sounds like a hinge issue and it would not be a good idea to try to fiddle with yourself.

Spend the $100 now and save yourself from having to spend more later.

Sounds like a broken screw thread - if it's only a year old, I'd say contact Toshiba for warranty repair.
