what company makes the best laptop for performance video editing/graphic design. not one for typing documents or checking my e-mail. someone that makes quality products that wont fail on me after lots of use.

You mentioned Video editing & graphic design. I know that most brand of notebook can address that but as for Apple this is what they are known for. I am a WinTel (Windows & Intel) user but with your requirement I suggest you get an Apple.

I would go Alienware, they make the kind of laptop you would need. They make high end laptops which are good for game designers making video games. They come with a minium of Core 2 Duo processors. With all the software we use at the same time, we need something like Alienware. It can more than handle video editing too. Go check out their site. Sorry, but macs can't compete with Alienware.
