am having trouble with my memory on my computer.i have a mac and i am told i should have more memory than what i have. i have had some one look through my computer at all of my stuff and every one that i talk to agrees with me. please help my capasity is 27.82 GB and i only have 7.01 GB left and my buddie hase more stuff on his and it is the exact same (oure highschool issues laptops out to the students) and my computer teacher cant even figure out what is wrong please help. if it helps i have verson 10.4.7

You prob. have an iBook with a 30Gb HD? My suggestion is to stop downloading what you don't need, throw some stuff out, and restart, you will see you will gain back a few Gigs of free space.
You also don't need all the Language support, which could save you up to 1Gb of space. Ask your school's Tech Person(unless he/she isa Dork) to delete forg. language support.

lol hard drive memory doesnt affect performance except when loading and/or if you run out of space in ram, but 7.01 gb couldn't possible cause that since you can't address more than about 4gb on a 32 bit system anyways.

Hi. 27 or so GB is not much by today's standards but for a school computer it should be OK. Get rid of as much junk as possible and defragment.

Sounds to me like you are talking hard drive space NOT memory. You just need to look through your files to find why you have so much.

it is somewhat true for memory especially when the drive gets low on storage. this is where you get the virtual memory from. you probable need to do a spyware scan and also clean the registry out. this will definately speed it back up with what you have.
