Listen, I run a 3.0GHz - P4 with 1GB DDR2 .667 ram along with a 256MB 7900GT Pci express card. Do you think or know if this is enough to smoothly play the games i listed above at 1024x763 resolution without lag? :(

Specs:

e6750
2 gigs pc6400 800mhz (crucial ballistix)
evga 8800gts 320 mb
mobo: Biostar TP35D2-A7 (http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/t-series/content.php?S_ID=286)

I can put the cpu to to 400x8 and run the ram at full speed, right? Will I have to do anything to the graphics card? Anyone have voltage recommendations? I want to OC it the second time the pc boots


Last question, should I OC my graphics card to the "superclocked" settings? They look like the same card and cooler to me with just different bios settings for 10 more bucks.

I have to list the hardware components associated with each of the following computer operations INPUT, PROCESS, STORAGE and OUTPUT.

Here are my answers:-

INPUT – keyboard, mouse, camera, microphone, scanner, trackball, joystick

PROCESS – motherboard, CPU, RAM, ROM, I/O Cards, floppy disk drive, power supply

STORAGE – hard disk, floppy disk, zip disks, CD-ROMs, DVD’s, USB

I just replaced my 450w PSU with a 600w. Everything is installed right to my knowledge, I have put a few in before. When I go to turn the PC on for 1 sec the LED lights up the Fans spin then it all stops and it seems it doesnt work. The green light on the motherboard is on. If i unplug the back of the PSU and plug it back in it will do the same. but if i dont and try to turn it on again nothing will happen. Any help??

I have an Athlon K7T266 Pro-RU motherboard. It can take 4 DDR memory cards with total capacity of 2GB of RAM. I already have two DDR 256MB cards in it. Some people say if I add another card with different memory size, i.e. 512MB or 1GB it could slow my computer. Is this a hard fact or an urban legend that cards with different RAM size don't work well together?

I was looking at Maxtor 1TB Network storage but read really bad reviews. How's Netgear storage central SC101T where you can add internal drives in the bay provided. I would appreciate any comments from the real user. We have 4 pcs at home and it is a pain to carry data from one PC To another on memory sticks/flash drives all the time. KIndly reply. ANy other solution besides SC101T?

hello i have an intel 945gm,the problem is that it doesnt support video hardware transformation and lighting, for instance when i play a game like swat4 it says you need video hardware transformation and lighting or ADVANCED SOFTWARE VIDEO TRANSFORMATION AND LIGHTING.does anybody know where you can get the software???that would be gold.thx

I recently found an ACER external CD-RW drive, and remembered that I have a bunch of hard drives lying around. I got the idea of replacing the CD burner (which happens to be an IDE standard drive) for one of the hard drives that i have, and connecting it to my computer, turning it into an external hard drive. I'm wondering if anybody has done this before, and how can I manage to do this feat.

I have an Dual core 1.8 ghz processor, 1GB of ram and a NX7100Gs graphics card. And still why i cant set the screen resolutin more than 640X480 in games like Quake IV or nfs carbon?i i do so the game doesn't run properly..

i have a pcchips p23g v3.0 motherboard now my motherboard supports DDR 333mhz and 400mhz and DDR2 400 mhz and 533mhz and iam using kingstons 768 DDR 333mhz and ive tryed this ram from a hp media center it was some off brand name it was 1gb DDR 400mhz and the computer dident even start and then ive put back my 768 kingston DDR 333mhz and it started again perfect now i want to upgrade the ram to kingston 1gb DDR2 533mhz but i want to know if my computer will start kingston has worked for me but the off brand ram dident even work it was from the hp media center DDR 400mhz why was that it's like the motherboard is picky on ram will my motherboard run with kingston 1gb DDR2 533mhz


and my cpu is a intel celeron d 351 3.20ghz i was shocked how good this has been ive heard alot on the celeron d that it was crap but my friends got one and he plays games on it and everything i just use it for makeing and burning dvds/cds and sufing the internet but i make great videos and pics so iam happy

Looking for another external drive. I bought the My Book 500 gig from Western Digital and it lasted three weeks...then refused to boot. I am looking for suggestions outside of Western Digital. So please... those of you who have working MY Books...refrain from telling me how you bought ten for your network and a year later all work well and how all you have used is WD and how you never have problems...I am looking for suggestions for drives NOT made by Western Digital. Most games require that you have an ATI X800 or NVIDIA 6800 display adapter with 256 MB of RAM. Does this mean that I need to get a new video card or just a downloadable/purchasable driver or program? Please help me because I really don't want to spend money I don't need to!

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm wondering if I can upgrade my NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 with a 8600 GTS series.

Now, I have a PCI Express x16 slot. What I'm thinking is the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 is intergrated because I can't find a graphics card for it. Would I just uninstall the graphics drivers I have now and insert an 8600 GTS in the PCI-Express slot and be alright?

Other notes: AMD Anthlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ 1.87GB Ram.

If you could also let me know if I'm able to use an 8600 GTS card with that, that would also be helpful. Thanks!

I just bought some RAM and my PC will not read it. The order form that came with my PC when I purchased it says my PC has DDR SDRAM 512MB (PC3200 Samsung) already in it. i wanted 512 more so when I went to the shop, and showed them my form, they pointed at some RAM for me to buy>D2PC400CL25-512MB (PC3200). i trusted the PC dude and when i got home and installed the RAM, my PC would not recognize it was there. this is very frustrating, i even tried putting the RAM in a different way and it made my PC not turn on so i just basically took the RAM out full of hatred and rage. is this the right type of RAM for my PC? did i get the wrong type?

I am running a YAMAHA CD-REWritable drive through an Adaptec AVA2904 SCSI card. I am running Vista ultimate, but it does not even see my disk drive, i am presuming that i have a compatibility problem between adaptec and vista!

Does anyone know where i can find a driver or resolve this problem as i cant seem to find a driver on the Adaptec website for vista.

Just bought a Mikomi 1.3MP with mic. Installed all the software etc. but cannot get the video/audio to work in sync! Also, the audio, on playback, is rather low and has an annoying 'whistle' in the background! Any expert advice?
