i have a pcchips p23g v3.0 motherboard now my motherboard supports DDR 333mhz and 400mhz and DDR2 400 mhz and 533mhz and iam using kingstons 768 DDR 333mhz and ive tryed this ram from a hp media center it was some off brand name it was 1gb DDR 400mhz and the computer dident even start and then ive put back my 768 kingston DDR 333mhz and it started again perfect now i want to upgrade the ram to kingston 1gb DDR2 533mhz but i want to know if my computer will start kingston has worked for me but the off brand ram dident even work it was from the hp media center DDR 400mhz why was that it's like the motherboard is picky on ram will my motherboard run with kingston 1gb DDR2 533mhz


and my cpu is a intel celeron d 351 3.20ghz i was shocked how good this has been ive heard alot on the celeron d that it was crap but my friends got one and he plays games on it and everything i just use it for makeing and burning dvds/cds and sufing the internet but i make great videos and pics so iam happy

Your motherboard supports ddr 400/333 or ddr2-533mhz. It should have no problem with the Kingston 1Gb ddr2 533mhz.

With regard to the 1Gb ddr 400mhz that came from another PC, you could have tried cleaning the pins w/ the eraser tip of a pencil and then reseating it twice before locking in, preferably alone.
