hi my cd/dvd rom wont load up discs. iv went on my computer to look 4 it. but it is not there. please help cause i need to insall my printer for my homework

Has anybody been working on your computer? The usual cause is a loose power or IDE cable. But the CD drive may have died.

Are you saying when you open My Computer, the CD drive doesn't show up? If so, your CD drive is probably busted.

The laser pickup of those instruments have a existence span, and finally fail. attempt cleansing it with a cd/dvd lens cleanser. If that would not paintings then meaning that the laser pickup is undesirable.
