i want to get a dictaphone. having surfed a bit i found that some MP3 players have voice recording attributes. olympus do a good range of dictaphone. i want the ones where i can use a USB to store voice recordings on my laptop and then to CD or memory stick. has anyone else used a dictaphone? or voice recording MP3 player? in the £50 range. (or less if poss)

My keyboard suddenly stopped working?
My keyboard (ps/2) suddenly stopped to work. I had no issues with my computer. What I recall is the "shift" key got pressed for sometime then it said to do something with sticky keys which I am not sure what I did. I rebooted my computer and my keyboard wont work. I checked device manger which seems to be fine for keyboard, I did uninstall & reinstall of drivers, still its the same. I tried my friends keyboard that wont work either so its not the keyboard I guess. I got a new usb keyboard that is not working either, my usb mouse works fine with usb port and also ps/2 port when i use usb to ps2 adapter. The Num lock is lit on my keyboard but wont go off.

One of my friend told me motherboard is faulty

I am not sure what to do....CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP

the windows 98 wont start normal but will go in to safe mode . can i download a start up disk on the xp computer hook the two together and istall the start up disk in to the 98 one as the floppy wont work or the cd so i cant use a start up disk will this work

For a program I'm looking at buying the system requirements are 1gb RAM and 500mb Swap Space (2gb reccommended) I think its to do with virtual RAM or something. I have 1.5gb RAM in total (getting 1 more gb in a monh) Would the program run on my computer ?

i have tested the video card and monitor(VGA) and they work fine. everything works fine

i installed a geforce fx 5700 ultra 128MB AGP, after the windows xp logo the monitor just turns of.

things i have done-
i have already uninstalled(disabled) the onboard video card
installed the nvidia drivers


my pc-
p4 s.8 GHZ HT
512MB RAM
geforce fx 5700 ultra
DYNEX 400 watts power supply

sometimes while i am installing the nvidia drivers, the screen goes blank and the monitor turns off,

i called tech support and they couldn't even help me

why can't i use my DDR333 on it? its 512 MB and it was read as 32MB only. it is brand new.

ive been using the 7600gs for a few months now. one night i turn my pc on and the screen says "not connected". i took the 7600gs out and connect my monitor to my motherboard (integrated, 6100) and it works fine. put the 7600gs in and it won't work. the pc would run but the screen would just be blank as if the pc is not on. any clue on how to fix this? thanks

I have 2 different devices (a label printer and a digital camara) that work just fine when plugged into one of the USB ports that are built into my computer but don't work when I plug them into my USB hub. I'm out of internal ports (1 for the keyboard/mouse, 1 for the external disk drive, 1 for the USB hub that still has 2 other devices that work on it and 1 for a printer/fax/scanner device).

Will getting a PCI USB Card resolve this problem? Or do I need to play musical-USB-port with all the devices until I find a solution that works? Or is there a way to beef this up so that these more lightly used devices WILL work with the hub?

i hav a pc, which has an IEEE 1394 slot, at the front of the pc...du i still hav to purchase a firewire card, for it to work properly, or is the cable, thsat connects the pc to the camcorder sufficient?...

My computer is having a sata hard disk. I want to get an information stored in another hard disk which is not sata . i had conected it several times but that hard disk is not detecting my hard disk is formated in NTFs mode I dont know whether the other hard disk is in FAT32 mode

I recently bought a nvidia 7600gs and when I put it in my comp it said it would not work at full power because i did not have a good enough power supply. So i bought the recommended power supply and put it into my computer and I was wondering if i would have to reinstall the graphics card for it to work at full power or if it does this automatically once the new power supply goes in.
