When you boot the computer the loading screen will clearly say Windows XP x64 if it is 64 bit... otherwise it is 32bit

if you are asking if your computer is 64bit... any core 2 duo CPU and any AMD with '64' in the CPU name is a 64bit processor...

Right click on the "My Computer" icon, and select Properties from the menu.
In the Properties windows that opens, like in the upper right corner. It will list your version fo Windows. If it does not say 64 bit, then it is 32 bit.

To run Windows 64 bit, you have to have a specific 64 bit processor. They are only available in about 3% of all the computers on the market (and are no longer being sold or produced. They have been reploaced with Dual Core processors). So odds are that you are NOT running Windows XP 64 bit.

I'd bet its 32bit.

Your chips are likely 32bit as well.

But the software you are running is almost certainly 32bit.
