These cards look pretty similar to me! But one is more expensive... could you tell me what sets them apart from each other? Thanks.

Both were "made for Vista" in the sense they are DirectX 10, though both will work in XP just fine. The more expensive one is faster, notice the core clock and memory clock are fasater. It will perform better.

The more expensive one (8600GTS) is faster. They have the same amount of memory, but simply said it has a faster processing speed and it communicates to its memory faster. go with this one if u can afford it.

i would go with the more expensive on because it was made for vista, not that is can just run it,a nd trust me, vista made cards are what you want, spend a little bit and get the most current one. you wont regret it in the long run!
