I need to upgrade my video card (have a PCI card and want AGP- i know PCI-express succeed AGP). How do i know if i have a version 1.1 or 2.0 compliant system? Would either a 2x/4x card or 4x/8x card work or only one of them?

Hello, I blew out my DVD burner power adaptor by plugging it into the wrong hardware. It is an imation 8x single-layer only external burner, if it matters. I cannot afford a new one right now, is there any way to replace the adaptor only instead of buying a totally new unit? I took it to a large electronics store but they couldn't do anything about it.

I've got s-video on my laptop and tv, I've connected everything properly because I can see what i'm typing on my laptop on my tv screen at this moment. But...
whenever I try watching video or streaming video the movie is displayed on my laptop but not on my tv.
For example, if i put a dvd into my laptop the film will play fine on my laptop, but what i see on the tv is the dvd software playing but no actual video, just black screen. I've configured my display settings etc, I just can't see where I'm going wrong. Unless I need to upgrade my laptop graphics card driver or upgrade my graphics card altogether!

Any suggestions?
Cheers

I just got a new Mac Book around the summer time. Within the first month it just caused me nothing but problems. (fyi, the only thing i use on my macbook is itunes due to the fact that i didn't have the internet or microsoft...yet). i took it in to the mac store and they gave me a new macbook. within three days the camera on the mac book started to act werid, the green light stayed on and my screen went completly green, same shade as the light onthe camera. i tried to turn it off and on again but the green light stayed on. took it to the mac store, they gave me a new one. keep in mind, 3rd macbook within a month. my 3rd one has been okay. but just about 3-4 days ago i was importing a cd to my itunes (computer not plugged in but computer FULLY charged) and my computer dies on me. i tred to turn it back on but it didn't work. it made a sound like it had a power failure. i plugged it in and then it worked again. also, my number nine button doen'st work too well. any help?

I have this laptop, it has 128mb of ram and it's 700mhz. I bought a usb DVD drive for it and tried playing a dvd on it. The dvd played alright, but it would slightly skip every 2 seconds no matter what dvd I played. When I plugged it in my usb port, it says something about my usb port can preform faster. So my question is, If I got a USB 2.0 adaptor would my dvds play good on the dvd drive? Thanks
