from what I read usb 2.0 480mbs

Cable is always faster than USB. The reason is that USB has to go thru a transfer process. Think of it as going from english to spanish to english. When switching between english and spanish you have to think a minute.

Firewire cable is definitely better and an improvement on USB!

firewire is faster i thing fire wire is like 800mb and 2.0 is like 450+ something like that but usb 2.0 is slower
