I want to get an external hard-drive to download movies/dvd's onto. It would be for nothing but movies- which hard-drive is the best to buy?

Use the following specs:

Large capacity: 250+ GB
Spindle rate: at least 7200 RPM
Large buffer: 16MB

Firewire or USB

Try looking on www.govconnection.com or www.newegg.com

Western Digital or Maxtor ...both are good, get the largest you can afford.

a separate confusingpersistent which could be utilized as a usb port, u can save all ur track, photos or any suggestion. i extremely use one for my very own suggestion. incase ur pc or pc crashes, u will nonetheless have all ur suggestion saved on the outdoors confusingpersistent.

it depends on your budget, western digital is high end, while seagate is mid range. there really isn't much diff
