bought an ATA seagate harddrive. slapped in a housing to convert it from internal to an external USB mass storage device. My laptop sees the device but gives it no drive letter, can't format it, nothing. Just want a little extra storage and the worst part is I'm going to school for this sh**.

I an looking to invest in a agp card for my 2nd p.c that is cuurently using a nvidia ge-force 4 mmx(128 mb) but its very limited on it capabilities so i need a new agp card
i am looking for a card with pixel and shader model 2.0 and above and at least 128mb ram allthough 256mb would be better
i have looked at misco and dabs.com and the nvidia 6200,s look a good agp card and have p+s model 3.0 and can be bought for less than £50
is ther any other decent cards for under £75(will go to £90 at a push) but i would rather have cards with built in fans(unlike my last card..radeon 9250) that had just a heatsink and you couldnt use any tools like riva tuner and ati tool as you were scared of frying the card
any ideas for a good agp card?

I just installed a new 18x super multi DVD rewriter. I put a DVD in to watch to test and it doesn't detect the DVD. Cany anyone tell me what I've done wrong? Thanks!

i just installed 1 GB of RAM into my Dell Dimension 2400 computer. As recommended on Dell's website, I bought 1 Gig, PC 3200 400 mhz DIMM RAM, (although I bought Kingston, not dell). I left the factory pc2700 128 Mb module in place and replaced a 128 pc2100 with the new Gig. I turned the computer on and ran BIOS. It said that the RAM speed was 333. I have tried every combination (including taking the factory module out, leaving only the new one) but it still registers 333. What can I do about this? What does this mean?

I have a D-Link wireless router and a D-Link wireless card. Both of the antennas refuse to snap in and just kind of barely hang on. It doesn't look like they're supposed to screw in, and I tried that anyhow. Has anyone else had this problem with D-Link?

It tries to boot, gets to the blue xp screen, then goes to a screen stating a recent hardware addition may have caused an error. Although, I didn't actually add anything. Now I've had this happen before with this computer, and the only way I could get it to startup was to completely reinstall xp and I lost everything. Fortunately it was brand new and I didn't have much on it, but the other has years of files on it. Does anyone know how to get it to startup without losing everything? And the other way of starting up by losing them.. I seem to have forgotten how. Thanks.

today a buy a webcam e-solution mini internet camera "for note book lgd pc"?
it says os support windows xp i install disk that came with it

WORK? so lets say i have a desktop i connect from the back of my modem and put it into the WAN in the netgear router then in one of the remaining ports i connect a usb cable and cnnect it to the back of my computer then I buy a netgear wireless G USB adapter for another computer in my sisters room will this connection work or will i need something else if so how strong and reliable will be the usb adapters connectivity be?

Is it true that external writers save off some memory work from my laptop or PC? I am keen on getting a new Samsung WriteMaster External DVD Writer, but I am not sure if it's gonna perform well using my laptop. It runs on an AMD Mobile Sempron 1.6 Ghz processor, which has 60G hard drive memory, and 480 MB RAM. I also have a desktop PC which runs using an Intel Celron D 2.53 GHz processor, has 30G hard drive memory and 192 MB RAM. Will these work well? I need some helpful, non-techie opinion. ;-)

Tried to download and it wouldn't work so removed it from computer and tried again. Still wont work and then windows installer said something was corrupted. I don't know what to do!

I didn't change anything and have even bought a new burner but still cannot burn DVD. Its not copyprotection problem, I can get around that ;). Using 1 Click Copy. No problem for 3 years and now I can't access that drive.

i have a laptop that came with 128mb and the total i can used is 512mb....

so i bought a 256mb so i can have 384mb until i buy another 256mb anyways
i added the 256mb and my screen was balck when i turned on my laptop so i took the 128mb from its slot and replaced with only the 256mb and when iturned my laptop on it worked just fine so i addded the 128 mb on the other slot and still a black screen i CANT use both memory cards together and they are the same brand kingston and is a good brand if not whats a good brand to use

my question is if i did something wrong or if theres something wrong
