Will RPG games which normally require Pentium III or IV run well on a Celeron D?

I also have 1 gig of RAM, but might need to update the video card.

if it requires a pent 3 you should be fine but if its a newer game that reguires p4 you might not have a big enough bus speed but ya if you can update the video card thats always better but you should be fine just mess with the graphics option on the in game menu and see which one works best for you

Yes, it will probably be fine. Make sure your video card is good though...that's probably your biggest obstacle. The Celeron D should be plenty fast enough.
