Tried to download and it wouldn't work so removed it from computer and tried again. Still wont work and then windows installer said something was corrupted. I don't know what to do!

Ensure you have removed old version go to apple store or hmv etc and get disc for this program then make sure your disconnected form Internet turn off anti virus after performing scan of Disc then install voila! should now have working copy of itunes and enjoy!!

Sometimes Anti-Virus programs prevent proper installation of programs.

Try turning of Anti-Virus and install.

click run ..
type .. regedit
Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT –> Installer and select Products
Use the Find menu to find quicktime inside that part of the key
Delete the part of the tree that you find
You should now be able to install Quicktime and iTunes without incident

this worked for me ...
