so im about to build a new computer.....with this cpu

now i have a question......with a BFG 7900GT 256
and say 1 gb of ram be good for gaming?

Yes that will be very good for gaming. Now some people here are gonna tell you to buy some crazy $400 or $500 card, but that video card will do good. Plus cuite will probably give her usual Athlon 4800+ with the Radeon x1900 or whatever, never pay any attention to her answers.

Yeah that's a great setup. I'm a AMD user myself but I know what's still good. Get it, you won't be disappointed. My only suggestion is to look at getting an eVGA 7900GT instead of BFG. Better warranties usually, and more often than not, better prices and speeds and support.

Since it seems you have the money, just get 2GB of ram. I did and i run on an OC'ed 64 3200+, eVGA 7600GS.
