How do you find out if your motherboard is PCI express compatible?

I'm sorta' new at this computer thing, so don't give me some techno babble answer please!

I'm new at the whole computer thing, so no techno-babble answers, please. I got my Dell sometime within the last year, maybe early this January, if that's any help...

if your computer is over a year or so old then chances are it's not pci-e compatible.

you can dl pc wizard at http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php

install and run it. click on the "video buton" from the buttons on the left. click on video card on the right top panel. in the bottom panel look where it says "bus type". thats what your video card slot is.
