today a buy a webcam e-solution mini internet camera "for note book lgd pc"?
it says os support windows xp i install disk that came with it
but the cam wont work . when i touch the cam the led lights come on why is this ?is it broken its driving me crazy help .

you have to follow this procesor of installing web can if after that it dont work than ur cam is corrupted
unplug ur cam uninstall ur cam software from add/remove now restart ur computer from the cd which comes with ur cam install its software after installing it completely now plug ur cam it automaticaly install drivers from the cd if it sk for certificate press continue now after it shows that ur hardware is installed and ready fo use try to use ur cam

if you are just touching the camera, litteraly and the lights are flickering on, then yes id say the cam is wacked. also, you will need to go and find within the contral panel the new device detector, and set that up, your pc will have to be restarted and connected to the device. So if your just installing the program and pluggin it in, it may not work like that. go to your device detector and see whats showing up there,

If it plugs in the USB2 port - then try another port and try something else in the port to see if the port is working. If the USB port isn't working ask another question - How to uninstall a USB port and re-install the XP driver.

If u plugged it in b4 installing the driver then it wont work .........uninstall it all ..... run the disk , install the driver and then plug it in ................
