I recently finished building a computer for some schoolwork and some gaming. Some of my games are lagging and i don't know what to upgrade. My processor is a 2.8GHz Pentium 4, I have 1 GB of DDR RAM, and my video card is a 64 MB PCI n-vidia GeForce 4000. I suspect it is my video card that is the problem, but I would like to hear some of your input.

I noticed that the cd says I must have norton anti virus to make it work. Is this true ? I'm using AVG free as my anti virus. Or could it be that I'm using mozilla firefox as my browser instead of internet explorer. I started with a 802.11b, it didn't work. The guy at the computer store said I needed a "G " model. It still doesn't work. Please Help! I am about to give up & just string another phone line in to the bed room . Then toss the $200.00 router in the trash !

Before giving me an Ipod for my Birthday, my sister loaded it up with songs from her Macbook pro.. I have a laptop PC which means if I want to use it to put songs into my Ipod, I have to reformat it for PC and lose everything!! Why can't I add to the songs I already have instead of erasing them all and starting over???
YIKES!!!!

Ive got a dell 4600 with a 2.4g processor and 256mb ram, i wanna upgrade to 512 or a gig but dont know much about computers. is there a big difference between the dual channel, SDR DDR or whatever and all that other crap? im going for cheap so if there isnt a big difference ill do the cheapest. also, is all RAM the same/standardized or is there some kind of compatibility between the motherboard and RAM? and could someone who has mediocre to low knowledge of computer hardware do it themselves easily? thanks in advance

I found it in a cabinet at work. It doesn't have any model number on it, and no packaging or CDs are in evidence. Windows XP couldn't find the driver automatically. Is there a model detection utility or something?

Hi,
I have a desktiop which came with 512 MB RAM when I bought it. I later on added a Kingston 512MB Ram to it to make it faster. It was working good for 6-7 months but recently when I checked on the SYSTEM info on the CONTROL PANEL, it only shows 896 MB RAM. What happened ? Now, how do I know which one of the two cards is defective ? and can I call KINGSTON if it is the one that is defective ? or Is it something else?
Please advise.
