I am trying to talk to my friend on msn using the microphone..l can hear my own voice coming from my computer but my friend can't seem to hear it on her side..how do I fix the problem...there seems to be no (green) signal when I talk...

i think u have not inserted ur microphone wire in the ryt slots.....if u have then check if ur sound cards other related drivers are properly installed....

first you should check if your microphone is connected to the right slot. second you should check if your operating system's microphone is on (lower right corner). third you should run the wizard in the msn window to install the microphone and the speakers.

I think that she as disabled the mic Radia button.Remove the radio button from mute.The mic as been set to mute mode so do the changes right now she will be able to hear you.

double click on the sound icon in your task bar..

this will open up volume control on your sound card..

click "Options" -> "Properties" and scrolldown and check "Microphone"

click "OK"

you should now see the "Microphone" on your volume control..

uncheck "mute" below microphone.
