no. if u have a dell that old u need to buy a new one all together, with all the new stuff that's being put on the market that 2000 dell is technically obsolete...

Hi. Only if you NEED it. You will be getting a new PC before long if the Dell is that old.

It sounds like he is trying to pressure you to buy RAM. It is more likely that his store will no longer sell the RAM for your computer. Just go to these websites and bookmark them in your favorites, and you will have a place to get some RAM when you are ready to buy some:

www.18004memory.com &
www.memorysuppliers.com

Between these 2 websites, you can get even the hard to find RAM for your computer! They have SIMM, DIMM, EDO, Fastpage, PC100 and more! Going here will make you forget that EBay exists.

of course it's just a matter of slot, is it EDO, DDR, or SDRAM? they are still out there, maybe the store you're talking about don't have enough stock and resources. shop elsewhere.

I'm guessing its around pc100 or pc133? Naw, probably his store will stop selling them. But they will still be around.
