I just installed Win XP 64-bit onto my new system. It containsa Geforce 8800 GTS PCIE video card. There is two DVI ports on the back to allow me to view 2 displays however i would like to have 3 displays.

I plugged in my 3DFX Voodoo3 PCI card expecting XP/64 to recognize it but it doesnt (it attempts to use Standard VGA but still fails to start it). I'm guessing it has to do with having a 64-bit driver rather than the new hardware setup. The videocard worked in my old XP/32-bit box.

Anyone knwo where to get a display driver that will work with this video card?

i just made my very first pc build from scratch. when i booted up for the first time, it runs through the cmos stating processor, etc and it then sates the following:

I have a problem with my pc. When I'm restarting it or I press reset before it boots the message "Scanning BIOS image in hard disk" appears and then it restarts again and the same thing happens. To get it work I have to unplug it for more than 10 minutes and after that it start fine! What I must do to correct this and what is the problem?

I head that the price of the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 is supposed to drop sharply on July 22. I heard this from two people and was wondering if I should go ahead and build my computer, which I am wanting to very anxiously, or should I wait around till The 22nd when and if the flight drops? Can anyone confirm that the price is going to drop?

I'm looking at notebook computers and have narrowed it down to two comparable machines. The main difference betwen them is that the one with the faster processor has a slower bus speed. Between the two machines, there is no significant difference in price (maybe $100 at the most for the one with the slower processor but the faster bus)

Which would you go with and why?

I bought a new emachine computer and its a desktop home pc, When I load the disc into it to install the printer which is a HP 1300 it goes thru all the normal steps for loading it until it says that the administrator has to approve it to be installed,, My question is how do I sign onto my own computer as an administrator so I can instal this printer?

So it's an Athlon 2400+
At the moment, there is 2x256 DDR ram stick at 333Mhz.
Would i experience an increase in performance if i add 1 more stick of 512 DDR ram at 266 Mhz?
On a side note, there are only 3 ram slots on the motherboard.

I have Windows XP SP2, and have recently bought Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe (about 3 weeks ago). I want to play FSX on my PC without any problems.

However, FSX runs really slow, the picture keeps juddering, and the sound (ATC Voice etc.) starts and stops when it wants to. Overall, the game is just not worth playing, as it is that bad. I have turned all the settings (on FSX) to low resolution, and still, I have a juddering picture and very poor graphics.

I have over 42gb of space on my PC, so memory isn't a problem. I have checked the back of the FSX box, and my PC is fine with the system requirements (processor: 3.0 Ghz etc.)

Is there any settings I can change to help FSX run better? I know I could buy Vista, but I don't really want to get it for another 2 years. What can I do/change/add to my computer to make FSX the game it really should be?

Desperate help needed! Thanks!
