This is an easy one..

1. Check your connections of your CDROM to the motherboard and ensure you are plugged in correctly.
2. Boot to your CMOS settings and see what is the order of booting. Ensure that you have the default settings established by the BIOS.

Have your installation for Vista in the drive when you reboot.

Good luck

Need to verify the hard disk is being seen by BIOS, sounds like it is or you would get a "hard disk not found" error. Throw the OS disk into the CD player and install, boot again after install and it should be fine. You're getting the error because BIOS doesn't see an operating system so it doesn't know where to go to boot.

It means exactly what it say's DISK BOOT FAILURE.
you will need to install windows properly. ie if you are installing windows XP then you will need a win (* start up disk, Yes I know your installing Xp but you will need this floppy disk to help you install XP. Please follow these instructions to the letter and if you have built your system correctly then this should work..
REMOVING XP FROM A COMPUTER AND REINSTALLING XP

You will need a windows 98 start up floppy disk. (I know your not installing 98 but this disk is required.)

1. PUT THE DISK INTO YOUR A: DRIVE AND RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
2. AT THE A:\PROMPT TYPE FDISK, A DIALOGE BOX WILL COME UP ASKING YOU ABOUT THE PARTITIONS. DELETE ALL THE PARTIONS.
3. ONCE THIS HAS BEEN DONE. GO BACK TO THE A: PROMPT AND THIS TIME TYPE IN (FORMAT C:)THIS WILL FORMAT YOUR HD. ie WIPE EVERYTHING OFF YOUR PC. ONCE THIS HAS BEEN DONE, RETURN TO THE A:\PROMPT AND TYPE IN FDISK AGAIN.
4. THIS TIME YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE A PARTITION AND MARK IT AS PRIMERY ACTIVE.
5. ONCE YOU HAVE DONE ALL THIS YOU ARE NOW READY TO INSTALL WINDOWS XP.
6. GO TO THE A:\ PROMPT, OPEN YOUR CD ROM DRIVE AND PUT YOUR XP DISK IN. (do not close the cd rom at this point) SWITCH OFF THE PC AND REMOVE THE FLOPPY DISK.
7. SWITCH THE PC BACK ON AND IF THE CDROM DRAW DOES NOT CLOSE THEN CLOSE IT.
8. YOU SHOULD NOW BE ABLE TO INSTALL XP AS USUALL.

All the best follow these instructions carefully.

Good Luck P C MAN.

Media Test Failure & PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM : This issue is often caused by either an incorrect setting in BIOS or a bad boot device, such as a bad hard disk drive

I had the same problem with one of my computers, it is not b/c of the BIOS settings, unfortantly you will have to get another Hard Drive.

Best of Luck

You do not have the hard drive set up correctly. Check over your documentation carefully. If you are using a SATA hard drive, you may need to make a boot disk for the drivers while installing VIsta. You will need to have the Vista dvd in the dvd rom drive as it is booting in order to get any farther.
