the easy acess buttons that i have on my laptop are not working including the volume button ? and i already downloaded the esy acess software but sill the are not workin?

I have an IBM Laptop with buttons like you say. Be sure this function is turned on. I turned mine off years ago as it less on startup, but, I not remember what I did, it was in the owner's manual.
OK, I look at my manuel. On IBM there 3 ways to check this.
Double-Click the Icon in your Taskbar. (IF, it not there read on)
Press Fn+F1
OR
Start > Settings > Control Panel find East Launch or Easy Access something along those lines and double-click.
