before you format - right click on the my computer icon - click properties - click hardware - click device manager - double click on the dispay adapter, modem, network adapter and so on and write down on a peice of paper what it says - for instance under my network adapter it says VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter

That way after formating you can google each thing you wrote down and it will be much easier to find the drivers for your hardware - driverguide.com is another good place to look for drivers.

refer to your pc manual, or open up the unit and with a torch shine it in through all the wires and cables, it's usually witten on the outer edge of the motherboard itself, but have you got the motherboard utilities disc that came with the pc, it should tell you on the face of the cd, mine is an ASUS 8V DELUXE, i bought a whole new package with motherboard, processor and memory and a tower unit and built my own pc the way i wanted it,

take the side f ur pc and get the serial number of the motherboard... if u send it me (madworm@hotmail.co.uk) i will be more that happy to send u the drivers for it!

but most motherboards don't normally need a driver they just work! from windows built in drivers!
