I'm going to buy a macbook period. Its the timing I'm asking about. OS X Leopard is coming out soon, sometime in the 2nd quarter. Should I just wait till then?

This is gonna sound stupid, but I don't know how to set up my CPU to record my music. im a guitarist, and have a bunch of songs, but money is an issue and i had to sell my mixer and good amplifier.
Is there a way that I could plug a certain type of Michrophone into the CPU and record my guitar tracks through the MIC? Would it be at-least decent quality sound? I've never tried it before, I usually went to a recording studio so I'm new at this CPU thing. I know that I can download recording software for a minimal fee onto my CPU, but that really doesnt help me too much, since I don't have any way to line my guitar into the CPU, and I only have a shitty little amp right now. So all that would help with is adjusting and mixing the sound of the stuff I hope to record using just a microphone.
is there a good enough CPU MIC to accomplish this task? how much is it, and where is it? I gotta record this ****, cuz I keep forgetting m own songs! LOL

My father recently bought a Compaq PC, Vista OS, with this brand of DVD-CD RW Drive. When the button is pushed, the drawer comes out like it should. But we can't find a way that sends the drawer back in afterwards short of putting the PC in and out of sleep mode. That can't be good for the 'puter or the operating system and, even if it is, its a major migraine.

I would like to thank everyone who's tried to help me remove Hurri also known as Boot Malmo virus from my flash disk. However, removing FAT32 from my flash is impossible coz "Delete Partition" is not applicable. Delete Partition is there but not highlited or activated. Clicking on it doesn't do anything. Format, does the formatting but retains the old FAT. Available FATs when Format is selected are FAT & FAT32. NTFS is not available although my Hard disk has NTFS partition & clean from the virus.

It's a Pioneer DVR K12D in a Sony PCG-K14 notebook. It stopped working with other than Microsoft Office original CD. It won't work with original DVDs nor with burned CDs or DVDs. Is there something I could do to make it work? (Other than replacing it?!)

I first noticed it while playing a game on my computer. Since then I have noticed it in other applications. It is just more particularly irritating in games.

After I have held a key down, it doesn't respond until I release the key. i.e. if i am playing a game where I walk, and am holding the up key down for more than five seconds, my player stops walking forward until I release the key, then I have to press it again. This happens in more than one game, and other applications also.

Our office borrowed a computer whiz Monday afternoon to sort out some third-party software issues. When we came in Tuesday am, we discovered that the server now beeps, a single short beep EVERY 5 seconds.
I can't find anything similar on the help boards or in the BIOS beep codes.
It's annoying, but the boss (who's hard of hearing) insists that we leave it on because his machine works fine. How big is the risk to do so? And what can I do to fix the problem?

XP shows that this cad has 640MB of video memory (in dxdiag utility), which is correct. But in Vista, it shows that the total is around 1400MB, with around 700MB shared from system. Which one is right? Does my graphic card shares memory with RAM? Or the card is designed in a way that it will share in Vista but not in XP? If this is the case, then will I get better gaming performance in Vista?

I have an Epson 1280 and want to print borderless, as the manufacturer claims, on 11x17 papers. I've tried several things, like lying to the driver that the paper is 13x19, borderless option checked, and so on. I use the document size 11x17 (Tabloid) in Illustrator CS2. Any idea how I can get a real borderless output, without any messy trimming needed? Thanks.
