My computer specifications :
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13gHz
1GB RAM
Motherboard- Asus PEP5-VM
AGP- ATi Radeon 9250

I'm thinking of buying a Vista Home Premium, but i don't know if there will be any problem updating my drivers, like my GC and board.

Can i know if is there any update for my drivers, for windows Vista.

only a very small amount ram is required and the computer tasks are all using physical memory by hardisk. Nowaday, the hardisk is running at high speed SATA3.

When i have my head phones in/ on with my lap top hear a ticking noise like the clock, i only assume it is the clock

but i was wondering if there is a way to turn the ticking noise off so i can listen to music and other things with out the ticking
as it is ticking me off

I have just bought a pci card and upgraded my USB to 2.0. I put in the driver cd and got this warning!!!
"The VIA pci to USB enhanced host controller has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatability with windows xp.. This driver has not been digitally signed."
Can anyone recomend a usb 2.0 that works with windows?

I have a gateway laptop, about a year old. When I close the screen...if its still on, all these internet explorer windoes pop up (like 50) and I have to restart it. When I restart it, a blue screen comes up and it says it has to do a "dskchk" or something like that.
I know some of you might say spyware...but ive spent a ton of money on programs (im talking like hundreds) and none of them find anything...
Im taking it in to get serviced, but until I get there I was wondering if anyone can help me?

Just bought a HP laptop with a Japanese XP OS, Now I wish to Multiboot it with a English OS Win XP. I have formatted Drive D for this. But when the installation starts after a while a message appeared saying that NO HARD DRIVE FOUND ON YOUR COMPUTER,
MAKE SURE IT IS TURNED ON AND CONNECTED TO YOUR COMPUTER OR ANY HARD DRIVE RELATED CONFIGURATION IS OKAY, YHIS MAY INVOLVE
RUNNING A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. I did so as asked and run the diagnostic test and the recovery disk and restored the computer to factory settings,
then again I formatted Drive D and tried to install the OS , but the same message appeared, so what shall i do to multiboot
the computer. Please help.

Hi!

We've installed via the CD, and get the "congratulations, successful installation" tic of approval, yet when we go to open the program, it says:

"Sorry, Scanner could not be initialized (Scanner not found)."
error message.

Can anyone help us pleeeeeeeasee!!

There are two processors I am looking at for a gaming computer. Either a Core 2 Duo (e6400 or 6600, not sure yet) or a AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Windsor. Either one will be overclocked, and be used for a pretty demanding gaming. (such as Oblivion) I am also trying to keep a lower budget. Thanks! (if neither sound good, I am open to suggestions)

I bought my sony vaio in Thailand, then I went for a vacation in Japan it was ok for a couple of days, but when I plugged my in Tokyo it suddenly shut down then it did`nt open again. Did the cold weather affect it? what happened?

This sucks! I just got Vista, and the screen looks all out of focus and washed out. 3D wont work. I looked into the problem, and I found out that my NVIDA GeForce Go 6150 card isn't compatable with Vista by default. So...I downloaded the nVIDA driver installer. AND THE DAMN THING SAID THAT MY CARD WASN"T COMPATABLE AT ALL!!!! But I just got this computer (a laptop) several months ago, and it was clearly marked "windows vista capable". In fact, I got Vista upgrade for free when i bought the computer. please help me

After I have highlighted an e-mail I've received, and go to print it, I hit "selection" on my printer to only print the highlighted section. However, many times the last word or two on each line does not get printed. How do I get the entire selection to print without losing any words?
