Assuming you have a legitimate copy of a Vista installation DVD .... just put in in your DVD drive & restart the PC.

It will guide you from there.
A clean install on a freshly formatted hard drive is always best.

If you are unsure of driver compatability with your devices please go to this site where the Vista Upgrade Advisor will determine if there will be any issues with your PC's hardware :

Hes right. Just a thought. If you ever need to do a clean install make sure to boot from a cd other wise it will not let you delete the partition.
