Hi!
We've installed via the CD, and get the "congratulations, successful installation" tic of approval, yet when we go to open the program, it says:
"Sorry, Scanner could not be initialized (Scanner not found)."
error message.
Can anyone help us pleeeeeeeasee!!

Did you follow the installation directions axactly, was the scanner connected or disconnected when you ran the installation disc. It has been a while for me, but I know some applications don't want the peripheral connected until a certain time in the instalation process
If that doesn't work
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click printer and other hardware
Click Scanner and Camera
Top left little box
Click Add imaging device
Installation wizard comes on, follow its directions.

check the cable connecting to computer and scanner, take it out and reinsert it firmly. Then see that the scanner is turned on, by checking the indicator lamp if any.
