Im thinking of buying a Dell... I will be using it for storing some music and pics(not too many though) also I want to buy world of warcraft, so I'll probably be using it for that as well as for schoolwork. I want an affordable computer, not too expensive

Does anyone have a cost effective solution for reasonably high volume envelope printing? We regularly have to print 500 to 1000 envelopes at a time.

Thanks!

DVD+R/-R uses a coated die while DVD+RW/-RW used a phase change metallic material to hold date. I hear that the write once method will last about 5-10 years. But would a rewritable that uses a metallic phase change last longer in storage than one that uses a coated die process?

We currently have a Dell that was given to us by a very nice organization. The problem is I have 4 teens and a pre-teen, so computer time is way limited. I was browsing on ShopNBC and saw a Laptop from Acer, complete with a Printer, a 17-in LCD monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse, a wirless router...for only 1100. Needless to say, I am skeptical. Is this a good purchase? I am on a serious budget, but a laptop would help me stay on top of my work at home. Please help.

I have a Hewlett Packard Photosmart 7350 printer. One of the hinges which holds the colour print cartridge (number 57) in place has broken and will not allow the cradle to travel. This appears to be a common fault. Does anyone know how I can repair it please?

Just bought a new laptop. It's still in the box - switched it on - the battery already has 32% life on it. Do I let the battery life it currently has - run down fully and then start the charging process?

What is the recommended number of hours to initially charge the battery for, avoiding having problems later on with it running low during short intervals and ensuring continuous peak performance of the battery life in the future.

IT guys - please help!

PS: There's alot of pounds involved so I don't wanna mess this up!

I am looking to purchase a new desktop computer between the spring of '07 and the fall of '07. I am a diehard Dell fan, but I was wondering what people think of HP computers. I am not 100% set on purchasing a Dell, because if I can find an HP that is better for either cheaper or the same price then I might be interested in purchasing that.

No matter which brand I decide to go with, here are a few things that I need.

-At least an Intel ® Core™2 Duo Processor E6400 or something that is comparable

-Either Media Center or Vista

-NOT LESS THAN 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 4DIMMs

-At least a 250GB HD

-16x DVD+/-RW drive. I need to read and write both DVD's and CD's. Has anyone used HP's light scribe? How does that work-is it a neat thing to have?

-20" digital widescreen or HP comparable

-At least 256 MB video card

-USB 2.0/firewire ports

-Memory card reader ports

-56k modem and wireless. Dell doesn't have wireles built in, but HP does?

Thanks!
