DVD CD. You need a DVD Burner. You didnt mention if you have a desktop or a laptop? if a desktop its much easier (you may be able to do it yourself). if a laptop you may need to take it in to have it done

basically;
- purchase a DVD ROM burner (there are several out there)
- Need Software to burn the DVD (Nero is good but cost $$, or use the version that comes with the new DVD u will buy)
- Need Blank DVD's (+DVD)

Install the DVD, the software and away u go, 10K photos huh? will depends on how big each one is. It may fit on one DVD, but if not, then just burn the reminder on another (or another)...

Also, ALWAYS make TWO copies. That way if one becomes unreadable, you have a backup (of a backup). for Photos, definitely worth it. Make sure you can READ your new DVD's prior to removing your photos!

good luck!

If you want them on one disk, a DVD burner is the only way to do that. One DVD holds 3.5 times the amount of data a CD will hold, so you probably can't get them all on one DVD. If you aren't sure how to go about this, better consult a technician who can install this for you and get it running.

you will probably need to put them onto a DVD for that amount of space. so.... you'll need a DVD vurner (check newegg.com for a good price) probably around $20~30. you'll then need to install it. them you'll need to get a blank DVD. your new DVD burner should come with some kind of DVD burning software, usually Nero (at least Lite-on drives do, as this is all i use). jsut use that program to burn your files onto a DVD. and you're done.

'luck

If I were you I'd advise getting an external hard drive (USB external Hard drive to be exact) if you are planning on transferring and saving photos frequently. They are costly but it takes less time in organizing than making a library of discs. It is also more convenient to find pictures you want rather than looking through a library of discs. If you think of the dollar amount per Gigabyte also, it is generally cheaper than buying plenty of discs.

you might need to resize your picutres before they can all be put onto one disk. that means buying a picture program, or using the one supplied by microsoft "paint". resizing the picture will get it to a manageable size (under 1meg probably manageable) and then you can get them all on one disk.

then burn to a DVD disk (4.7 gigs)

i exploit a USB twine that got here with my digicam and that i hook one end into the pc and the different end right into a dock and that i only push this long skinny button and it transfers the photos for me. i do no longer even could coach my digicam on for this and it will coach you on your computer screen the photos you took downloading. some can only placed the photograph chip good into the pc. analyzing your handbook is likewise a great help. that's what I did and it labored out nicely. stable success along with your downloading.

most computers today can burn dvd;s
they are cheaper than cd,s
