Im thinking of buying a Dell... I will be using it for storing some music and pics(not too many though) also I want to buy world of warcraft, so I'll probably be using it for that as well as for schoolwork. I want an affordable computer, not too expensive

Dell, hands down. If you're a student, you can save even more money by contacting Dell Education (Look on their website).

If you want a basic, no frills computer, look at an e-machine. The downside is that they won't fix it if it breaks, they send you a new one, which results in the loss of your hard drive.

The last Dell I bought a month ago was right around $500, including a 20" flat-screen monitor, and shipping.

If you want to switch to a Mac, the Mac Mini can use your current keyboard and monitor, and sells for about $700. But WoW may not run on it unless you buy and install 'Parallels', the dual-boot option which enables a Mac to run both Mac OS/x and XP.
That costs about $90 more.

You know, I'd never buy a Dell. It isn't that they don't make good computers. It that their technical support is awful. You only get to talk to people whose primary language isn't English. In addition, these people often know less than the caller. You normally need to get to a second-level support tech, but they throw up so many roadblocks that you are going to be on the phone for at least an hour to get real help.

Buy a dell I bought one and it works perfectly. If you want to store pics and photos then dell would be great. You can crop, remove red eye and all the other great features.

Dell is a great brand, get all of the features you can afford. Remember, with PC compatible you can always upgrade to a better monitor (or drive, graphics, etc) when you have the money
