i just bought an HP pavilion notebook dv9000z with an AMD 64 X2 processor and 1 gb of ram and an 120 gb hrd drv... its got a 17in widescreen and a built in camera... it was only 850 after rebate... but now is not a good time to buy since vista came out... mine is capeable but im not upgrading for another year or 2.... its not worth buying a new computer with vista in it... i'd find a nice laptop with XP still on it like me.... or wait a year or two if you can

Try looking up the Gateway site they have refurbished units at a very reasonable price. My daughter got one that is fabulous and she loves it. It's one of those tablets where the screen does a 360 and you can write on it with a stylus. You can even get Gateway credit and just make payments each month.
