I'm trying to play EVE online with a SIS 650 integrated graphics card in a Lenovo laptop. I know that SIS 650 does not support T&L but is there some software workaround for this??? I just want to make EVE online playable, not looking for astonishing performance or anything.

Thanks for your help.

108 GB Hard drive
3.5 years left on a "smash it and get a new one" Warantee
big screen res up to 1280x800

This would make an excellent deal, and would make an awesome present.

The AD_Link cable that comes with the Sound Blaster Audigy 4 is one part firewire and one part something else. I need to find out what that other cable is. The cable that came with it is not long enough and Create Labs "can't" make a longer one for me or provide me with some sort of coupler to connect two together. Does anyone know what kind of cable this is and/or where I can find a longer one or a coupler. Thanks.

All programs are dragging very slow (i.e. Internet, Word, Exel, etc.) My computer is approx. 2 1/2 years old. I am willing to erase everything on it, and start over. I do not mind backing up my files etc. I have deep scanned with new norton antivirus, ran up-to-date spyware programs, defraged hard drive, cleared temp internet files etc. Nothing has worked! I have an hp zx5000, intel pentium 4, 3.2 Ghz w/512MB and am running Windows XP Home w/Service Pack 2. I would appreciate if someone could give me some ideas as to what direction to take to solve this issue(in detail would be greatly appreciated). I do not want to replace my notebook, but I understand technology updates very often. With that being said, Is this computer still up to par with some of the mid-range notebooks today? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

okay, heres the deal - i have a dell desktop - its about 3 years old and for about the past 6 months it will sometimes randomly restart while i am on it. it mainly does it when i have like 3 or 4 windows open at a time or if i go to my friends myspace page that has a lot of crap on it.

anyway, i was told i should get it checked out, so last week i took it to a computer repair shop - they checked it out and said that it just had a few viruses and removed them and installed a new virus program. well it keeps restarting and on one of the occasions that it restarted it said something about checking a driver. i have no clue what to do now - please help!

This question is more of a historical question then a practical one. When I say Supercomputer, I'm thinking of a computer such as the Cray's that may have had a 486 or equivalent CPU and supporting 1GB of ram. As far as I can remember a 486 level desktop was never produced that supported 1GB of ram. I'm looking for any remote proof of a 486 level machine with 1GB of ram including a link to a page, flyer, article to back it up.

I recently had a laptop hard drive failer. It has to be replaced. DELL told me that I could replace the hard with any notebook/laptop hard drive. I order one and when it came in, it would not connect.

The New drive has male pins to connect. The Old drive looks like a slot connect like the card that you slide into your mother board on a PC. Any suggestions on adaptors or how to order the correct hard drive type.

In a Blog someone pointed out the light bulb always dies when you first turn it on. Does this phenomenon apply to hard drives?

let's say that I'm not so brilliant about PCs.... although we, as society, are forced into it, to me it remains a machine without soul! and this is why I always need help for "easy" stuff....

the problem is that the volume coming from my laptop (Acer, "travelmate" series) has always been sooo low... finally yesterday I bought some speakers to find out what I believe to be a "balance fault" (ok have a laugh now... thanks!)???!!!

I tried to watch a DVD but suddenly realized that the backgound noise (like music or cars passing...) is louder than the "talking" of the actors.
WHY is that???
HOW do I fix it???
I tried to play with the volume equaliser or something similar but the only thing that change is the background sound... and still the background seems to be on top of the voices...
HELP HELP HELP

thank you!

Im trying to scan an image into my Comp, and the damned thing says I need to install the software. My mother says she has done so at least thrice before, and by now has lost the CD. My question is, is the software to use the scanner available for download over the internet? Ive looked around but had no luck, and would be very grateful if someone could help me:)
