I have a Dell PC and am looking to convert my old personal videos into DVD's.

The DVD brand blanks are determined by model of the machine; check the manual for the DVD burner you purchase. Question 2 can be answered when and where you buy the burner. Question 3, go on google search and type in free video cleanup software. Question 4, best brand, you want to look at ease of use and durability...I bought LG brand and ease of use is average; you got to spend time getting to know your machine and what it does and does not do...

1. i use nero. 2.Staples has a wire set up to hook from vcr to pc. 3. www.ripit4me.com and www.dvddecrypter.com ,need both to work right with one button select and thats it. 4.Staples has all brands and reasonable.I'm getting the wire set this week.But the ripitworks like a charm.
